NBC News - August 7, 2026 - Flock cameras vandalized across the country as the debate around them continues.

NBC News reports cities across the country are facing growing backlash over their use of Flock cameras.  Dozens of municipalities have cancelled or let their Flock contracts expire. The battle over Flock cameras is happening in community meetings and on the streets.

This reporting shows Flock can be linked to a Real Time Crime Center, another network of cameras and integrates with various surveillance tools and database systems.

Pasadena Flock ALPR data shared out of state

NBC News - July 3, 2026 - Pasadena Activists are speaking out against new, A.I.-enabled cameras being used by municipalities across the country.

Reporting by NBC shows Pasadena Flock camera’s data was accessed by numerous law enforcement agencies across California and out-of-state including the FBI, ICE and NCRIC!

In one instance, Pasadena’s database was searched for “ICE Protest”  - the same day a rally was held outside a San Bernardino detention facility. 

Flock ALPR is being used to track people exercising free speech!

Can PPD be trusted to do the right thing if not under a microscope being pressured by the media and the public?

Flock ALPR is warrantless mass surveillance.

Pasadena must act now to protect our personal information, keep it out of the hands of bad actors, and stop treating us all like suspects and criminals! Demand that Pasadena cut ties with Flock now!
